PAVEL KONDRATIEVICH OSCHEPKOV (1908 – 1992)

Abstract. The article focuses on the foundation of the Research Institute of Introscopy (RII) and tells us about Mr. Pavel Kondratievich Oschepkov, the first Head of this Institute, who created the radiolocation in Russia. There is a brief review of his scientific publications, which gave start to the development of the Russian scientific school for non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics. The photos of the first devices, created by RII, are given.
