AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENTS OF PHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF JET AVIATION FUEL USING ULTRASONIC VISCODENSITOMETER

Abstract.  The article gives the results of measurements of density and shear viscosity of the jet aviation fuel TS-1 and RT. It is considered two types of acoustic tracts of viscodensitometer for automatic measurement of viscosity and density of jet fuels. It is shown that the best way to extend the stability of measurements is to use of waveguides in the measuring cell with a ledge. It is shown that the calibration of ultrasonic viscodensitometer requires to use reference liquids with the physical nature close to the measured liquid. It was received a good agreement (±2 %) of ultrasonic measurements of parameters of fuels and data provided by the Centre of certification for aviation fuel of the State Scientific Research Institute of Civil Aviation.
