LOCAL DEMAGNETIZATION FACTOR DURING MAGNETIZATION OF HALF-SPACE BY THE FIELD OF LOOP WITH CURRENT
(pp. 39-43)

Abstract. It is presented results of analysis values of components of the local demagnetization factor when magnetizing conducting half-space by field of superimposed coil with direct or alternating current (analyzed a component which is parallel to the surface of the half-space and component perpendicular to it). Components of the local demagnetization factor in the bulk of magnetic half-space are defined on the basis of expressions using for uniformly magnetized bodies. At the same time intensity of the external and internal magnetic fields in magnetic half-space are defined on the basis of known analytical expressions. When current passing through the coil is constant, both components of the local demagnetization factor are equal to 0.5. If current passing through the coil is alternating (calculation is carried out at frequencies of 200 and 2000 Hz), value of component of the local de-magnetization factor, which is parallel to the surface of the half-space, near this surface are substantially less than 0,5. As we move deeper into the magnetic half-space the value of this component increases reaching at a certain depth 0.5.
