NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF CORROSION BY THE ANALYSIS OF IRREGULARITY OF ELECTRICAL FIELD IN THE SENSOR
(pp. 38-42)

Abstract. The results of numerical analysis of electrical field in the electrochemical sensor are presented in this paper. The quantitative dependence between the index of irregularity field and the specific polarization resistance in the boundary metal − electrolyte is discovered. This dependence may be used for determination of polarization resistance. The determination of polarization resistance does not require the measurement of the potential near the electrode. Polarization resistance is used for automatic control of the corrosion in the working equipment.

Keywords: corrosion, polarization resistance, electric field.
