AN ALGORITHM FOR EVALUATING THE RESULTS OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING IN THE PROCESS OF ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF PRACTICAL COMPETENCE OF FLAW DETECTORS

Abstract. The article addresses the problem of subjectivity in assessing the practical skills of nondestructive testing (NDT) specialists. It analyzes the shortcomings of the existing regulatory framework, particularly the lack of a formalized approach in GOST R ISO 9712‒2023. A new algorithm is proposed, focusing on the correctness of the final result obtained by the inspector. The developed solution implements a multi-level verification of competencies: from determining the suitability of the test object to the differentiated assessment of the accuracy in locating defects of varying complexity. Special attention is paid to the practical application of the algorithm, implemented as software, for conducting objective professional skill competitions and procedures for authorizing specialists to perform critical work.
