METHOD OF SELECTING RATIONAL PARAMETERS FOR EDDY CURRENT PROBES OF THE IIIECP TYPE
(pp. 12-19)

Abstract. The work is devoted to the determination of rational parameters of eddy current probes of the IIIECP type based on the registration of the axial component of the magnetic field of defects. Variants with different size ratios of measuring coils are considered, for which dependences of the corresponding eddy current signal are obtained when scanning a defective area with a long crack in magnetic and non-magnetic objects. The studies were carried out by mathematical modeling based on the finite element method.

Keywords: eddy current flaw detection, eddy current probe, rational parameters, axial component of the magnetic field.
